Kilimanjaro and Arusha

Kilimanjaro day hike
Early hotel pickup, registration at Londorossi Gate (2,250 m), then a drive to Morum Barrier (3,407 m). The gentle 4.5 km hike to Shira 1 Camp (3,610 m) takes about 1½–2 hours and offers wide plateau and Kilimanjaro views in clear weather.
Kilimanjaro day hike
Hike from Marangu Gate (1,879 m) through rainforest to Mandara Hut (2,720 m). The 8 km ascent normally takes 3–3½ hours. After lunch, walk to Maundi Crater when weather and timing allow, then return to the gate.
Nature & culture
Travel to Materuni village on Kilimanjaro’s slopes—approximately four hours from Arusha. Walk to the waterfall and join a hands-on coffee tour that follows the local process from bean to cup.
Swimming & relaxation
Drive around 3–3½ hours from Arusha to Chemka near Moshi. Spend the day swimming and relaxing in clear, tree-shaded water before returning to your hotel.
Waterfall & adventure
Drive approximately two hours from Arusha for a guided waterfall visit. Optional zipline and quad-bike activities are available on site and paid separately.
Culture
Visit a Maasai boma and learn directly from community members about daily life, history and traditions. Try selected activities, wear a Maasai blanket for photos and discover the traditional use of spears and bows.
Wildlife & culture
Learn about local snakes, birds and reptiles, visit a Maasai market and look inside traditional Maasai houses. Horse riding is optional and paid separately.
Local experience
Explore Arusha with a local guide. Hear the city’s history, visit local and souvenir markets and see historic buildings while learning about everyday life in northern Tanzania.
Safari day trip
Descend into the Ngorongoro Crater in a private 4×4 safari jeep for a full day of wildlife viewing. Explore the crater floor with a professional guide and enjoy lunch during the safari before returning to your hotel.
Safari day trip
Travel to Tarangire National Park for a full-day game drive through baobab country and along the Tarangire River. Explore the park in a private 4×4 jeep with a professional guide, with lunch, water and soft drinks included.
